Stephen C. Strahle of King of Prussia, PA passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 in the Buckingham Valley Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Buckingham, PA. He was 76.
Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Charles and Margaret (Simon) Strahle, Stephen was a resident of King of Prussia, PA for 56 years until recently moving to Doylestown to be near his family.
He was formerly employed as a Pressman with Serpico Printing Company of Philadelphia for 40 years, retiring in 2004. Stephen was a Eucharistic Minister and choir member at Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia as well as a Man of Malvern where he attended yearly retreats at St. Joseph’s in the Hills Retreat House. He was a lifelong fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles, and he frequently recalled being in the stands at Veterans Stadium when the Phil’s won the 1980 World Series.
He was the dear brother of Betty (Harry) Serpico of Doylestown, loving uncle of Christopher (Maureen) Serpico of Doylestown, Peter (Mary) Serpico of Moorestown, NJ., Mariellen Serpico of Dublin, and Lisa (Brian) Galvin of Jamison. He is also survived by nine grand nieces and nephews and his longtime companion, “Sunny”, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
A memorial mass will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 235 East State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Monday, October 10, 2016 at 11:00 am.
Burial services will be private.
