Shirley H. Harlan of New Britain, PA passed away at her residence surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 5, 2021. She was 90.
Born in Downingtown, PA to the late Charles and Mary (Gable) Habecker, Shirley resided in West Chester and Chalfont, PA before moving to New Britain in 1976.
Shirley was formerly employed as an Operator with Bell Telephone and later a clerk with the Bucks County District Court for 20 years.
She was the beloved wife of 72 years to Ira “Bob” Harlan; devoted mother of Kevin Harlan and wife Lynn; dear sister of the late Douglas, Charles and Ernest Habecker; loving grandmother of Leigh McKee and husband Seven, Sarah Loux and husband Jacob, Crystal Santiago and husband Adam; cherished great-grandmother of Abby and Julia McKee, Bella Santiago and a great-grandchild expected in February.
The family will receive their friends at the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Thursday, September 16th from 10:00-11:00 am with a service to begin at 11:00 am.
